Longshot - Anyone have the Ponterio Auction #47 (March 1991) catalog?

I need help looking up a lot in this catalog. Please let me know if anyone has it. I've checked the Newman Numismatic Library and a few other places but found nothing. Thanks in advance.

Do you mean Ponterio #46 - Viceroyal Amat Collection sale (March 8th, 91)? If so, i have the catalog. Let me know what you need.

Looks like Auction #47 was also March 8-9, 1991 and featured a John O'Brien Collection. Don't have the #47, sorry.

That's a great resource for catalogs. Thank you, I've bookmarked it.

Their digital archives don't go back very far, unfortuntately. I wish they had them all, since the NNP doesn't.

I just looked. They go back to 1936, the beginning of Stacks. But no Ponterio & Associates catalogs (yet).

@pruebas beat me to it! Indeed, the online Library DOES go back that far and way more for the other predecessor brands. As he noted, Stack's proper from the 30s(!!) is uploaded... Coin Galleries, Bowers & Ruddy from the 70s, Bowers & Merena from the 80s.

However, NONE of the Ponterio branded cats. are uploaded except for what I think was probably the final one under that banner in Dec. 2010 ("Ponterio & Associates - a division of Bowers & Merena") before the "Stack's Bowers and Ponterio" branding began in 2011.

    Odd.

I guess Stacks has improved their records since I last checked. Too bad the Ponterio catalogs aren't there too. Thanks to you guys for helping me out.

By the way, the ANA has this catalog. If you’re a member (and maybe even if you’re not) you can contact the librarian and ask for a photocopy of that page to be emailed to you.

If you’re in or near NYC, I bet the ANS also has a copy.

That works @pruebas, I am a member of the ANA. I really don't utilize that membership as much as I should. Thanks again.
