My first custom graded card holder and label

richtreerichtree Posts: 1,500 ✭✭✭

Hey guys,

I wanted to show and ask for any suggestions before I commit to this and start gluing the cases shut.

What do you guys think ? Anything I should consider?

Obviously, I have lots of oddballs that I don't care to be graded but want to be able to file, have a holder, and keep safe.

Buying:
Topps White Out (silver) letters Alex Gordon
80 Topps Greg Pryor “No Name"
90 ProSet Dexter Manley error
90 Topps Jeff King Yellow back
1958 Topps Pancho Herrera (no“a”)
81 Topps Art Howe (black smear above hat)
91 D A. Hawkins BC-12 “Pitcher”

Yeah, its really time consuming if you don't have Photoshop or Lightroom --- I wanted to have someone copy this is do it for me, instead I just do in Powerpoint

    hey richtree,
actually I think it looks kind of cool: your green frame however I think would look better on older cards, maybe a gold or silver frame for newer cards.
my question here is: what type of glue would you use and would the glue age and yellow over time?... :)

yeah, I am going to to change the green to blue, gold, or silver....don't like the green

I am going to use the E6000 clear glue on the corners of the case.....

Unfortunately there is no glue that will turn out clean looking for your project. All super glue or epoxy will leave a heavy milky stain once it settles/dries on the applied area and with your nice clear case it will stand out even more. If you want, send me one sample of your case. The mould on my sonic welder is for 80x135mm which is the same as a psa slab. Not all cases are exact and can be off by a micro mm or two. If it fits fine, I can seal them for you. Just pay for the return shipping. PM me

thanks, I think i will stick with the glue for now as it seems to be "ok" -- these are oddities and not super pricey, so it works for now.,

    thanks

Cool project. How about color matching the labels to each card? May not be practical cost wise. Just a thought. Cool project either way.

    Thanks
