Worth doing PCGS Restoration? 1893-S VF30

For this 1893-S VF30, a) can PCGS restoration improve the appearance of the coin and b) the value?
I guess it goes without saying that a better appearance would yield a higher value... but enough to be worth it? I'm not sure improving the toning would improve it to VF35 but would like other opinions.

You’ll expose hairlines. It will be worth less. I don’t think PCGS will do it. They’re only suppose to if they think it will improve.
OK I get it. This is your subtle way of showing off your coin. Unless you’re coin clueless you have no intention of messing with that coin.

I believe you are in for a nasty surprise if you expect that coin to improve in appearance through regular conservation techniques. It looks terrific already and the only thing I can see as distracting is the orange spot above the arrow tips, which may become an awkward, light spot that really draws the eye if not done properly.

I personally really like that Morgan and am not a fan of restoration.

I think restoration on a circulated coin would give it an unnatural appearance. Probably best on an uncirculated coin. Jmo.

Thanks guys, I think it's pretty clear I should leave it alone. After further though I do think if they removed some of the crud it would leave an inconsistent, unnatural look depending on what's underneath.

You know it's VF because of the dings of use. The appearance is actually nice the way it is. Don't mess with it. IMO. Peace Roy

I would never buy the coin with the reverse spot unless it was discounted.
