ok I post my tradelist on the grandstand post boards and this guy responds with all these $300-$1000 cards, ex.elway buyback auto /10, carr/harrington auto, and a 2001 SP authentic Vick patch BV$900, he sends me this offer for his Vick auto patch:

i say i can't send first (he says i have too), and then he responds and says, I will throw in $100 cash, and a $150 Favre auto...now does that sound realistic? lol

Does his e-mail have a matching eBay ID, I doubt it but I always check that also. What is his/her screen name so we can all be on the lookout.

its basebkid2000@yahoo.com, i always watch out about people with the domain@yahoo.com, because yahoo is where about 85% of the rip offs come from. LOL, even read beckett.com, in there buy/sell/trade area they wont except any new members @yahoo.com, lol, ( i wonder why?), and thats where i got burned by 3 different deals, alll @yahoo.com. Im sure theres a lot of honest traders here that are @yahoo.com, i always especially careful of them..

o yea ill check the ebay id, it doesn't really mean anything when they have a ebay id, 2 of my bad deals on ebay, the guys had ebay id's (one had 100+ refs, another had like 1000 positives) just because they do a trade, steal the cards, and SELL THEM ON EBAY!!!!

P.S. I got both of those guy suspeneded from ebay, on one the cops did it for me!

CU is a pretty honest community, unlike Beckett.com..id trade with most people @yahoo.com here, just cause most people here have been here for years are well known traders

Be careful because there are still some thieves and scammers on these boards that are still active here and have been on CU for a ver long. Just use the search function and input the person screen name to see the threads about them.

There are still some good traders here though just have to do a proper reference ck thats all.

yea most people here are cool. Ever since i got robbed a few times, i reduced my wants just to really high end cards booking around $150+, i thought i was gonna get out of cards since i was just sick of getting screwed although i got one guy arrested. But i came back, and glad i found CU
