Peace Dollar Side by Side. 1921 vs. 2021 vs. 1923 vs...a Dcarr 1964

So this is a 2021 Peace Dollar shown alongside a business strike MS63+/- 1923 Peace. And I introduce the MS63 Satin Proof Die 1921 and then mix it up with a Dcarr 1964-D Die Pair 5. Let me know if you'd like to see a comparison with any of these in any other arrangement.

    The mint did a fabulous job on the 2021 Peace Dollar. I just may have to buy to go with my Daniel Carr overstrikes.

    These comparisons look like it is a High Relief on the 2021 Peace.

    When I saw the NGC Label saying "High Relief", I thought, I hope !
    I'm suppose to get my Peace today. Can't wait.

    It's a lovely almost high-relief. I can't quite put my finger on it. Maybe the rims aren't quite as high, the fields don't drop down as concave as the 1921. But the devices (in particular liberty's cheek and neck) seem just about as convex as they do in the 1921.

    I kind of wish the date numbers weren't quite so puffy. Dcarr's 1964 is actually closer to the classic Peace. But that's really about the only thing that I'd change. It's a beautiful coin.

    That 1935 Peace dollar certainly looks a lot like a 1923! :o

    They did not use a 1921 Reverse for the 2021. The reverse is the 1922 VAM 2 Reverse.

    That’s something I don’t like. Look at this blobby O, the puffy N and the misshapen C, and compare to the chiseled letters on the real thing.

    I've never liked the date numerals on Peace dollars, and I like those on the 2021s even less.
    But it sure is nice to see a full strike.

    When in doubt, don't.

    The relief on the 2021 is very comparable to the 1921, just struck perfectly on the hair. Thank you for the lineup of coins!

    I just received my 2021 Peace dollars today and they are quite striking. One of the nicest products from the mint I've seen.

    Always looking for attractive rim toned Morgan and Peace dollars in PCGS or (older) ANA/ANACS holders!
