We're Back!

StellaStella Posts: 713 ✭✭✭✭✭

Tonight was my coin club's first in-person meeting since March of 2020. Any fully vaccinated members were welcome to attend, so it was great to finally see other collectors in person rather than in a tiny Zoom screen.

Have you been to any coin shows or get-togethers yet?

Feel free to post a coin that makes you happy to celebrate!

I'll start:

Coin collector since childhood and New York Numismatist at Heritage Auctions.

Sweet Lincoln! I'll see that quality and color in 56s and 57s yet rarely with a 1959.

You didn’t though by making specific mention over such a controversial topic. It’s almost as though you were beaming about it.

No coin clubs or shows in this area.... Several gun shows though, some tables with coins as well as firearms. Been going to those shows since December. I always review the coins, but most are Ike or Peace dollars... a few coins in 2x2's like IHC's or Mercs.... not a lot of coins, and the sellers are not informed coin people. Cheers, RickO

Nice that you were able to enjoy a coin activity outside your own house, I have been going to the monthly coin show here for the past six months. Really not much new to see there as inventory is a problem for many but still nice to get out and view coins, I hope there will be a LB show in the fall.

How do they know if someone was vaccinated? They can't demand any "proof" because that would break HIPAA laws.

HIPPA says doctors can't release medical information of one of their patients without that patient's permission. An individual can release their own medical information if they so choose to do so.

You can say that again, totally ridiculous just call it the Unvaccine

There is a small chance of unvaxed humans transmitting Covid to those who are, this is bc of new variants being spread by unvaxed that the vax's might not be able to fully protect against, and the open question of how long the vax's are going to be effective. Makes total sense to restrict contact to those that have been vaxed.

Maybe the unvaccinated should have a show and ban the vaccinated.

We could use a little more division in this country.

Thanks, Joey! Joe has posted here in the last couple of days, yesterday if I remember correctly. Both he and I are into color, as you can doubtlessly tell.

    Nope.

HIPPA protects information in the custody of a medical professional or supporting organization (insurance co, etc.)

YOU can choose to disclose anything you want and it doesn't impose any duty on others.
