Talk me off the rip ledge!

Tempted to crack either an 89 F basketball box (BBCE + FASC), or a 90 F basketball (also BBCE and FASC).

I had ripped an 89 in the Fall and was great fun to pull 4 MJs. At $400+ for any 9’s....well, you get the idea. My cost on the box is $400 so ROI won’t be usual disaster.

Argh. Can’t decide. Covid makes me want to rip stuff.

I don't know the only card worth it would be Jordan PSA 10 #21. But you may get 2 or 3 who knows.

I hate to say it but since both will probably cost double in 1-3 months....leave them sealed.

check each pack front and back prior to ripping both boxes! 😉

Those Jordans are not mine but they could be yours if you open that box. But you will never know until you open it. Maybe PSA 10's.

This is what the last box yielded. Stickers are all OC. Maybe a chance for a 9 on the top right pic of the #21’s.

Re getting 10’s. My handle should be the non-Eagle Eye Kid. I have received 1 10 ever in all my submissions. A 79 OPC Garvey lol.

Stickers are real tough for centering and chipping.

89 F is the worst. I had 7 boxes and every single card in 6 of them were off-center. I stopped opening after 2 or 3 packs in the final 4 boxes because I knew what was coming. Are they worth anything if there is never an intention to open them? It'd be unethical at this point to sell them. The one box with good centering, every pack was good, except for the hint of red paint at the top of the cards that sometimes crept over. Seriously, what is up with that?

If you hit you can upgrade to Four Roses Limited Edition Small Batch Barrel Strength Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. About 300 a bottle. Only on special occasions like birthdays, etc... and never with your friend that brings over rot grub. It would be wasted on a lush like that!

Another thing to talk you off. Just think you will have to wait 6 months to see if you even hit a 10. If you mailed them off last week.

I've ripped 6 "wax" and 4 rack boxes of 90 Fleer BKB in the past 6 months. Only one of the rack boxes had consistently well centered cards. I severely regret not just stashing them away. That's just not in my nature though.

Thanks guys. I am going to hit pause on the ripping idea. This may not be last long but for now, leaving alone.
