    well I see the AMER in America messed up unsure of what happened but yeah I'll say error coin

  • Heres another that’s a 1862 copper-nickel Indian head cent , it doesn’t seem to be an error and someone stamped both sides with “4”&”2”

    You will find stamped/counterstamped coins in many varieties.

    Yours may have been used as a game piece way back when.

  • Found this yesterday. Looks like the D mint is punched into the penny. Ive seen stuff like this before but not in the shape of the D right where its suppose to be. Can anybody tell me what they think happened?
