2020 Topps Heritage and their 1971 lookalikes: Déjà vu all over again?

I recently purchased a base set of 2020 Topps Heritage (Great set! We’ve all been waiting for the ’71 set, right?). Anyway, as I was thumbing through the cards, I noticed a few that had very similar 1971 counterparts, especially among the few horizontal cards in the set. Topps must have done this on purpose:

    I did a bunch of these comparisons in the 2020 Heritage thread. I only did the ones that had the same card number.

    This has been documented pretty thoroughly in the main 2020 Heritage thread ... but hey, the more Heritage the BETTER!

    Thanks for pointing out that thread - it was quite the read. I had no idea there are so many variations / short prints, etc to the set.
