Looking good gentlemen, any stories to be relayed back to the rest of us from this convocation?
There must have been at least a few tales told and mysteries solved.

Wish I had such a man cave. Great to match names/faces.

    Habsburg Talers

TalerUniverse.com is a curated numismatic project dedicated to the silver talers, crowns, and medals of the Habsburg Empire and the Holy Roman Empire, spanning the 16th–18th centuries. The collection emphasizes historically significant issues, rare mint varieties, and high-grade NGC/PCGS examples, presented with detailed historical context, scholarly references, and high-resolution photography. TalerUniverse aims to serve both as a private collection showcase and a growing reference resource for collectors, researchers, and students of early-modern European coinage.

You and me both. I'm green with envy every time I visit @aethelred's library.

The one thing I've got everyone beat at is not so enviable, perhaps. @Asheland was complaining about having "multiple chins" in the photo above, but I emerged the clear winner in the Jabba the Hutt Lookalike Contest, by a wide margin.

Collector since 1976. On the CU forums here since 2001.

Only in numismatic inclinations, and in connection to the Asheville, NC area, where all of these folks are from.

I have known @Aethelred for 27 years and met @savoyspecial and @asheland through him, both in the last decade, though I moved away from Asheville 25 years ago and live in SE coastal GA now.

@jalexfoster I met through @asheland, when he came to the last gathering, or convocation (or coinvocation), or whatever we're calling it now.

I try to get up to the mountains at least once a year. Managed to do it twice this year, having come up in June.

@ajaan would not require an invitation, being an Old School CU Forum Darksider who has met us at shows (and, I think, come to Asheville to visit, himself).

It does seem we have the "Middle Aged White Guy" demographic fairly well represented.

I mean, surely there can't be all that many middle aged white guys represented in numismatics, right? ;)

We must be a statistical fluke.
