1977 Topps Mark van Eeghen and the case of the missing 1000 yarder

This thread goes back to me as a kid noticing all those fantastic 1,000 yarder graphics put on the 1977 Topps football cards. It was the only year they did this which makes them kind of special. Here are a few examples

Then we have poor Mark van Eeghen who had a fantastic year rushing for 1,012 yards for the eventual Super Bowl Champion Raiders. His 1,000 yard accomplishment was missed by Topps and the card seems naked without it. Perhaps it is time Topps looks at ways 40+ years later to correct the card and include it in one of the archive sets!
