British Commonwealth/Colony 1 cent/penny coins

I've decided to work on a set of 1 cent/ 1 penny coins from the British Commonwealth and British Colonies. The only requirement is that they have either portrait and legend of a British monarch or at least the legend. Here's my favorite so far, It seems very nice for the assigned grade, there may be a slight bit of cabinet friction.

Here's a British penny, I love these large British coppers.

Oh nice, I'm gonna have to look for one of those.

Canada Victoria cents are my favorites for these types.
Sounds like a fun set to assemble. I recall that at least for the Canada large cents, they were equivalent in size and value to the British halfpenny.

I have one Canadian large cent atm, and it is about the size of a British halfpenny.

From this theme, I have only collected South Africa. Union coinage includes KGV, KGVI and QEII.

Nice project. I like the Jamaica One Penny coins. The first two are ex-Pittman, the third is simply a dupe of the 1905 (although graded a half-point higher (the plus)).

Wow, those are gorgeous thanks for sharing.

Another newbie. The obverse relief is pretty high.

I'm up to 37 different coins. Some are from the same place but with different monarchs. Here's an Edward VII Jamaican Penny I just got.

I really like what you’re doing.
It is a cool idea for a set.
Added this one recently, it's a cool error coin as well.

I like collecting these in lower grades and passing them out. Something about large copper just seems unusual to people nowadays.
Anyhow, here's a checklist I whipped up long ago. It's not perfectly complete, but gets most of the accessible and interesting bits.

I showed this one before, but is probably the "Holy Grail" of Jamaican pennies (hint: No "H"):
Well, just Love coins, period.
Here's a newby I picked up from Heritage auctions. Isle of Man

I have posted this one before, but it is simply the finest Victorian cent of Canada I have ever seen. PCGS MS-66+ Red, pop 1/0. Ex. Landon.
