We'll see after the auction closes. I've only had one genuine piece out of an old collection in my hand. That coin was "Too-Good-To-Be True." The dealer needed it back quickly and later told me another TPGS slabbed it as genuine.
I would say that 113 watchers isn't too shabby.
With $5,300 do you get eggroll.
NCS is known for their conservation, not their authentication.

Yes, when NCS slabbed coins with their own label, they used NGC graders and I believe they fall under the NGC guarantee.
Me thinkie the Chinese office is authenticating most of the Chinese coins NGC does.

No, AFAIK they authenticate Chinese coins at both offices. However, several graders have moved to China. It more sense to have Chinese dealer experts do Chinese coins overseas rather send them to FL.
Based on how much interest the Cherywood collection is gathering on GreatCollections I would say yes, Chinese market is still hot.

Not to hijack this thread, but I have several dozen Southern Sung cash coins, all different, in old Seitz holders. Is it worth having them slabbed?
Wow, that is a very old slab. Back in the day the details coins might end up in those. They don't do those slabs anymore, just a regular details grade now. BUT, they were still under the NGC company guarantee.
