Proof Kennedy Pop Chart

I thought the statistically-minded of you might find this interesting. I've charted the pops for the entire Kennedy series, including all years, varieties, and designations.

Obviously, only the nicer ones get submitted. Thus, the huge spike at PR69. I thought it was interesting, though, that the remainder of population seems to conform well to a normal distribution curve.
If you find it as interesting as I did... cool. If not, go eat some leftovers.

I think bulk submissions that tell PCGS only to grade the 69 coins throw the scale off.

Clark, great chart. Now, for insight, chart the average distribution of cam/dcam grade for the series, and put up the 71 cam/dcam compared to the series average. Mr.Hall said something very insightful the other night regarding "money" coins in response to Baseball's question. Here's the quote -

I don't think the PCGS graders are that aware of current prices, let alone spreads. I do know that they know which coins are the money coins and they will look much closer and take a lot more time on say a 65ish 1895-O dollar than they would for a 1881-s dollar.

My interpretation of what he said was that although the grading standard never changed, it is applied with greater scrutiny to the money coins. Net effect - they're tougher. Greg had it right when he said they had better be solid for the grade.

I thought it was a great answer.
