1997 One Pound , England ? Coin Question About rim.

Lettering present on rim but no reference to what looks like a crusader cross.

    It is the "cross-and-crosslet" mintmark adopted by the Llantrisant mint, the current location of the British Royal Mint. The symbol derives from the meaning of the Welsh name: "Parish of the three saints". Thus, the symbol is three crosses, arranged to form a single large cross.
