    Congratulations.

I find Buffalos on occasion but it took me over a hundred thousands nickels before I found my first Liberty V nickel.

My first search of the year was some CWRs from the bank yesterday - found a well worn 1936 quarter and a 1942 S silver was nickel. The quarter rolls had a X on them so I assumed they had been searched, but who knows what they were looking for.

I started searching coins from the bank when I was a kid in the early 60’s. I found lots of Buffalo’s but I never found a Liberty V Nickel. Cool!!!

What I would give to come across a V! Nice find.

I did a box this weekend, here's the highlights:

    1937 P Buffalo
    1939 (2) Jeffs

About (15) 40's and 50's (no War Nickels)

And (3) 2009 Ds, which is way more than I normally find.

But the most interesting find of the day was (what appears to be) a gold plated 2004 P Peace Nickel. What do you guys know about those? I assume that someone bought in a mint set, and some kid (or junkie) spent it without knowing what it was and I found it in circulation.

Got a 1911 liberty head nickel in change at Dunkin Donuts this PM.

Interestingly, about 3 years ago I found an IKE dollar at this DD in the parking lot and about 1 year ago found a $20 dollar bill in the same lot.

I need to visit this location more often

@coinzzz Now that IS an awesome way to start any year. Good luck in your future hunter/finds!

@Poseidon89 Those gold toned coins are done by third parties like the Franklin mint, etc.

Even back in the early 1960's I only found 2-3 Liberty Nickels.

In the late 60's thru early 80's I found several Buffs.
Never a V nickel or for that matter a 1950-d nickel
or a Small Date 1960 Philly cent.

Great finds. I have the 2005 five cent rolls 1959 black beauty roll and all have great natural toning. This is a natural occurrence on many of the newer issues.
