An itch well scratched (aka, an Anglo-Saxon newp)

I have been having a bit of a dry spell lately. It's been hard for me to find coins within my core areas at the right quality level that also do not cost an arm and a leg. I've been compensating by being a consigliere to a couple of fellow forum members, but that really is not the same.
Friday I leave work early afternoon and I get home to find a text message from @Nap about a coin that he wants for himself but that he's been on too much of a buying spree lately that he really ought to slow down. He also said that this coin is, frankly, a better fit for my collection than his. So I take a look and, well, I really like the coin and it is a type that I do not have. (I have several similar types though.)
After a bit of a discussion with my consigliere (think of us as a Mobius strip of advice giver and advice receiver), we decide that it was a high quality coin at a fair price.
While I haven't yet gotten an invoice or a formal email from the seller, I do have a charge for the coin on my CC and the coin is now marked as SOLD. Thus, I am confident that it is only a matter of time before I receive the coin from Jolly Ole.
As an aside, I feel necessary to repeat what a joy this hobby has been. Besides the coins themselves and how they intersect with our interest in history, it's also the people we meet. These folks enrich our lives as hobbyists, but also enrich our lives as people (outside this hobby). [One member would check in on me when my dog died 2y ago; another helped me wrap my head on my elderly father's medical issues. A third, whom I met not long ago, felt comfortable enough to play a gentle joke on me while at the Reading Food Terminal this summer. From the bottom of my heart: bless you all!]

Good will always prevail. The people on this forum are a wonderful example of this!
As sceats go, yours is a museum quality gem.
A very interesting piece from both a historical and artistic standpoint!
Thanks!
Yes! Sadly, the iconography on these coins that have meaning to its intended audience is, for the most part, lost on us of the modern era because the early Anglo-Saxon people did not pass on enough records of themselves.
