Hurricane Florence

Anyone here live in the forecasted areas ? If so, what are you doing in preparation of the storm ?
This storm looks absolutely brutal. The high pressure system situated in the northeast is going to cause it to
drop historic rainfall in the area. 140 mph winds are absolutely destructive. I hope to God that the forecasters are wrong and it moves quickly up the east coast, but it appears right now that it's going to sit and spin and drop a lot of rain.

That's what I hear. Somewhere around Wilmington.
Lucky I am in Georgia and far on the west side with very little side affects (10-20mph winds)
I been seeing reports of empty shelves, no bread or water (in my case i'd get beer & liquor).
I expect mass flooding too!!!
Stay safe folks! Remember turn-around don't drown.
Around 40 miles inland near Charleston S.C. here, been here since 1977. I've got my essentials. Dr Pepper, Mt Dew, a lot of snacks and a few serious food items. Governor called for evacuation but I never abide by that LOL. Some wind, maybe. Rain, either a lot, a little, or some. Who knows. It's nature, we'll know where it's going when it gets to where it's going. I never worry about them much to be honest, nothing I can do to change a course.
I’m in Benson NC about 90 miles from the coast. Praying it will turn north and spare us a lot of rain and wind.
I did put all my graded cards in tool boxes in case I had to scoop them up and take somewhere else. Unfortunately I have about 3800 of them.
Good luck guys. I was picking up debris on this day in Orlando and thankfully we didn't get hit as bad as the forecast had predicted. We can only hope that is same for the folks in its path.
I am in Charleston and will be riding it out as well. Probably a little wind and some rain, we'll know a lot more tomorrow. I did get the sandbags out today though, it tends to flood pretty easily here
Good luck to all!

Yeah your case is completely different from mine. If lived in downtown Charleston or on one of the islands there would be no bravado or phony courage from me I'd be getting the hell out of dodge and headed to my sisters place inland. Floods way, way too easily in far too many areas of Charleston.
