Wow, Amazing how much old stuff is still out there.
They call me "Pack the Ripper"
I hope finds like that never end.
so very cool
One thing I think is interesting: Why is the '53 Topps Mantle in a screw-down holder? If the cards were socked away for 6 decades they obviously didn't have screw downs back then and nobody uses them now. Maybe the original owner kept that one with him and screwed it down in the '80's or something.
Same thing on the '55 Bowman Mantles too.
great find... I agree I hope they never stop coming
collecting RAW Topps baseball cards 1952 Highs to 1972. looking for collector grade (somewhere between psa 4-7 condition). let me know what you have, I'll take it, I want to finish sets, I must have something you can use for trade.
looking for Topps 71-72 hi's-62-53-54-55-59, I have these sets started
The owner also had a 1974 topps Mike Schmidt in a screwdown holder
. I'm not sure when or why these cards were placed in those holders. I can tell you that most of the t206s were sitting loose (neatly stacked) in a box.
