Biggest chuckle I've had in awhile.

"I like it when PSA is hard on my cards."

That's a new one. Chuckled all day at that yesterday.

The standards, and the grading, don't change folks. Yeah theres a miss here and there - human element and thousands of cards being graded - but the discussion of graders being "hard" or "easy" is a fallacy.

Please clarify. They standards don't change from today going forward? -OR- They don't change, and haven't changed, over the course of the last 15 years?

I would bet if you polled all the collectors and submitters of graded cards today, they would most certainly have the opinion that PSA's grading standards have definitely changed over the past 15 years (ie. they've gotten tougher).

I don't think the grading standard should EVER change, and for years I was in denial that it had changed, but over time it's has almost become an accepted reality. Yesterday's NM 7 will typically fall short of the condition of today's NM 7.

Exactly, betcha they don't use the same equipment they used 15 years ago to grade cards today...And I betcha if grading cards exist 15 years from now, they will be even tougher as they will be able to see more and more things on those pieces of cardboard..I could be wrong, but technology will make it to where a PSA 7 from the beginning will definitely not look the same as a PSA 7 in 15 years...

And since this will probably upset someone, I'll sign off and say thanks for the memories!
