Julius Erving 1976 Topps #1 Psa 9......does this case look tampered with?

Have always loved this card and would want a Psa 9 in my collection, but does look fishy on the right hand side?
There is obviously something going on....but what is the question.

It's entirely possible that someone tried to open it and then realized it wasn't going to work and stopped. I would have no problem bidding on that card, with the full understanding that I'd have to send it in to be reholdered. It's a beautiful example of a tough Dr. J.

These large cases do that very very easily. I had some on card stands that tipped and instantly there was some frosting in certain areas. The card looks good, I don’t think it has been tampered with.

That is my card and I can assure you of no tampering.. I honestly had not noticed the issue until you brought it up -- I'm guessing a small crack or something developed in transit.
