Year of the Dog - a Lab Lovers thread

Just had a fun morning imaging coins and I thought I'd post this one here for all the dog lovers.

Please post any coin with a doggie device.

BTW that's a chocolate lab :)

  • Beautiful sighthounds, Stork. I've got to keep hunting for these.

I've avoided that Somaliland coin though, because it looks like the artist may have designed it without actually having seen a greyhound.

Yes-I'm a dog lover. Labs, along with Boston Terriers are my favorite breeds.

Probably more like a Sloughi or a flat coated Saluki or something...but it's the most modern coin like thing I've got right now :). Hopefully someone has a nice Irish Wolfhound one to post.

As an SIU alum, it’s not a Saluki, however could be a Phararoh Hound

  • For what it's worth, Numista thinks it's an Italian Greyhound. Pharaoh Hounds are almost always shown with big alert ears.
