  I have been following it. My concern is that it has a hidden flaw not showing in the scan. It is a 3 for a reason. If it looks as good in person as it does in the scan that is an awesome card and worth way above 3 money. Looks like it is going to sell for around PSA 6 money.

  I had that one in my watch list. The adage of well-centered examples selling in the range of 2 grades higher is holding true.

  Card sold for $1549, exact same card sold for $1630 on 12/17/2016 (Same Cert #). Info from PSA Auctions Prices Realized.

  I believe it's very hard to tell anymore if the data is reflective of whether or not a specific buyer or seller is "making money" or not. With all of the specials going on with coupons, eBucks promotions for both buyers and sellers, waiving of seller's fees at various times, Chase credit cards giving 5 percent cash back this quarter on PayPal facilitated transactions, etc., you really don't have any idea at what price points the numbers make sense. I'm sure they take losses on some items, but I'd bet it's not as many items as you think, or near the amount of money that you think, either.
