Here is something you don't see everyday...

a Michael Jordan 1985 Star #101 in a PSA slab. Although if i were a serious buyer for this card i think i would somehow try to convince the seller into shipping it to PSA to get the flip/slab updated.

Will they even reholder these now? Centering and corners do seem a bit weak even for an 8. I do know this is a tough issue.
I would assume so,they graded it. If I recall correctly,i can remember seeing a Charles Barkley PSA graded 85 Star card up for sale on ebay in the past year and i think that seller just had it reholdered with the lighthouse label.
edit: just found that Barkley in the completed listings section. Not a lighthouse label but it had been previously updated not to long before the newest flip.

Interesting, that is as rare as hens teeth, if legit however yes I would like to see it in a new holder as well. Feedback is small and nothing for months. Second, why is the cert # blacked out other than security, that does seem like a red flag. Third, isn’t this card worth more than 45K if in a PSA holder? I dunno call me Ishmael, maybe I’m just skeptical
I don't know the value for a PSA 8 but i did just take a quick look at BGS 8 sales and these were in the $4300-4800 range.

Ok, his expectations on his other auctions are realistic so I maybe he is thinking huge premium for PSA? In any event even at 4-5K I would want to see and validate the cert #
Sorry, But put me in the category of skeptical that this is a real card. The case looks popped on the upper 3/4 quarters of the case. Additionally, I don't for one second think that this card would get a straight 8 with the centering the way it is. It certainly wouldn't anyway with the way they are grading cards today. Additionally, I look at the other items the seller is selling and those pictures don't match up with one another. Putting the amount he asking for the card aside, no back scan, low feedback, this screams scam to me.
I collect: 80’s Rookies and 86 Fleer Basketball
i'm guessing but if legit,i'd say this was probably graded back in the 90's at some point before they decided to not grade anymore Star cards. You could probably find plenty of PSA 8's with worse centering than this then say the same.
Everything else you mentioned,I agree.

Obvious scam imo. Looks like a hacked, dormant account too. No legit reason to blur out the cert number if its real.
I actively collect Kirby Puckett. I have collections of Michael Jordan, Emmitt Smith, Roberto Clemente, Dwight Gooden, Tom Seaver, Errict Rhett and Evan Longoria.
Can't attest to the seller actually owning it but these cards exist and were graded by PSA for a small amount of time.
This is the one that sold.
