The biggest lesson I've learned in this hobby, and in life, is that if you have a strong conviction, you owe it to yourself to see it through. Don't sell yourself, or your investments, short. Unless the facts change. Then sell it all.
Unfortunately, Panini buying Topps makes sense. They know cards and already have the back end/operations for the virtually the same business. The bad news, they know how much topps overpaid for MLB licensing and can evaluate the card business on it's own without the candy, which probably does't look to enticing. Topps will probably have to split the sale because Panini doesn't do candy, and candy makers don't do cards. IMO of course.

This was my first thought as well when I saw the headline.
Better they sell to panini than lose their mlb license.
How about a "group" purchase here?
.
Group break!!! I've got $1,000 to throw in the pot. Whose with me? Is there anything left in the archives that's worth raiding? LOL
Hiya Mike,
I was thinking along the lines of a "buyers group" as well
Pump and dump
A sad thing is that I heard is that topps candy division is far more profitable than sports cards. Probably because licensing is through the roof
