What would you do ?

Trying to decide on what would make my set more valuable / desirable, I have $1000 to spend to complete a 1966 Topps Baseball, already have most of the cards.

Would you spend the $1000 on,
Buying 90 more commons at PSA 8, or
Buying 10 more HOF at PSA 9

Which would you like better,
A set that has 100 commons at PSA 7, 475 commons at PSA 8 and 25 HOF at PSA 9 ?
Or 600 card set all at PSA 8?

Yes I know a 600 card set at PSA 9 would be best, but not possible.

    I personally like uniformity. Having straight 8's would be more attractive to me rather than mixing 7, 8's and 9's. Again, this is my own personal opinion and I'm sure others will disagree. Good luck which ever way you decide to go!

    I would not rush to burn through the cash
    and I would take the time to look for 8's that look like a 9

    I agree with uniformity. I do believe that commons in 8 and HOFers in 9 is uniform and has a symmetry to it.

    I would like the all 8 set. with maybe some HOF at 9 if possible

    The 475 commons at PSA 7 and the 25 hof at PSA 9. Just having 25 cards in 1966 at PSA 9 would be something special. Imho.

    I'd go for the highest graded set possible... 9's for HOF'ers gets you a bigger score in the registry and its good for resale and then cherry pick 8's of the commons with great centering.
