Sounds like the "e-klez" virus that comes in every now and then. I get similar notes (including one a few days ago from another registry member) every now and then but Norton Anti-virus detects them and either quarantines or deletes them. I don't believe that the virus is harmful to your system in a "wipe your hard drive clean" kinda way, but my guess is that if it made it to your machine, that other people will get emails like that from your email address from time to time - allowing the virus to expand its territory.

Thanks for all the info. Just to clarify one of the points - this didn't have an attachment or text. It came the e-mail address "SetRegistry@collectors.com", which is the one listed on the website, so I would have thought it was legitimate.
