Different Cards With Identical Photos

One of those topics that has almost certainly come up multiple times...yet I have a hard time remembering all the examples.

Ones I recall:

Dick Allen 1970,1972 -- Cardinals and White Sox cards both featuring the same Phillies uniform pic!

Willie Mays 1965,1968

Which ones am I forgetting?

If I remember correctly 61/62 and 63/64 Drysdale. Two pics covers 4 years.

Yes! Though the '64 is zoomed in so it looks a bit different.

I think someone has 3 between 1966 and 1969, but i cant remember who.

ETA - Hank Aaron from 1954, 1955, and 1956 are the same, but I still this someone in the late 1960s had 3 the same.

1986 Topps Traded Bo Jackson and 1986 Donruss Rookies - same year but different companies.

odd that topps and fleer used the same shot. You would think that there would of been some copyright.

As soon as the second card was released (I forget which one was first, and which one was second), it generated an article in Baseball Hobby News. It turned out that a free-lance photographer took the photo, and then sold it to both Topps and Fleer, who both independently decided to use it in their set.

Something tells me that this is the record.

Aside from the 72-73 base card, these are all replicated in the OPC sets.

Based on a previous thread, if you exclude league leader and team leader cards, Bubba Smith may have the record.

I know there are a lot of 1968 and 1969 Topps baseball cards with the same photo.

Technically, he was stylin' in all of the them, just that Topps had the good sense to crop the rest. While I no longer have the 70-71 set to reference, I do know that Ken Hodge, in the 71-72 set, also did not bother to put on the hockey pants and the picture wasn't cropped, thereby showing his groovy slacks.
