What would you grade this 1884-S Morgan?

As others have hinted at, I'd like to see this one in hand just to see what that schmutzy stuff is on the cheek and over the obverse fields. I'm "feeling" the reverse, that's nice. Depending on that smudging cra-, I would go 58 probably. If it cleaned off and the cheek was better than I suspect, maybe 60/1.

Last year I had an AU55 that upgraded to AU58, coin was semi-PL like many this date. With coins that rise substantially from AU to Unc. I would think they want the coin to be all there for a real Unc..

I like the semi-prooflike surfaces although there is enough rub/chatter/wear to reward it the AU grade (if the cleaning isn't too excessive).

1884-s Morgans Have to be all there and then some to get the MS designation, 55 at best 58

This is a tough one. Of course grading from an image is impossible but put me down for 55.

From the images, it looks 68, if the luster is not broken both O and R, it might (tough) make 60.

AU53 might go 55 don't see it as a 58

It looks very nice to me and I would guess that you will get an AU-58 even though it looks 62-63. As said above the grading services are extremely tough on that date and mint coin. Good Luck
