Dealers/Collectors, what do you pay for "junk" wax cases?

Hello all,
I have the opportunity to buy a very large lot of cases. Most are junk era (1990 Score Hockey, 1990 Fleer Baseball, 1988 Topps Baseball, 1988 Score Baseball), but there are a few better ones in there which are a bit easier to figure a price. For the junk cases, is there sort of a general price you usually offer for them? If you are a dealer or reseller, do you have a tough time selling the cases or boxes (maybe a card shows)? Is it easy to sell junk boxes for like $5/box at shows? Thanks for any thoughts, the collection is pretty large and might cost a bit, but I need an idea of what I should be paying to make a bit of a profit on it. Thanks again!

    The stuff is fun to buy but hard to sell unless you really blow it out. If you don't mind hanging on to it for a while, you can make some money but it's a slow process.

    $5 is about right on the score/fleer stuff. You can get $10 or more on Topps baseball usually.

    The better shows I've been to have had junk wax available at $4 per box or 3 for $10. I picked up a box of 1990 Upper Deck and 1989 Topps just for fun for $4.

    Based on the info above, the buy would be $2/box?

    Whenever I had junk Topps baseball wax 1988-1990, it seemed to move very well in $5-$10 range. If I recall correctly, I think I listed them a bunch of them at $14.99 delivered on ebay, this was when you could ship a box for $6-7, and they all sold in about 3 months.

    For me the really common junk wax is a solid sell at $3 and a tough sell at $5. But I only do a couple shows at most a year and am in the "I don't want to hall this back home' mode....I've passed on many junk cases at auction for more than $1-$1.50 per box

    Through the years I've had some luck selling junk wax boxes for $5 per box at my yard sale. Anything less than that I'll just open them up for the fun of it and to satisfy the "rip itch" cheaply.

    Thanks for all of the answers thus far. I am still working on it, but the guy is not liking the offers I am giving and seems to be changing his values constantly. It seems like he is having trouble letting it go. He said he got a few offers and everyone was out to lunch, but I attribute that to him not understanding the value or lack thereof of this type of product. Of course there is some value there, but it is a lot of inventory to store. I know I asked about per box sales earlier, but let me ask a different question. There are about 70 cases. There are a couple of better ones, but if they were all 1990 Score Hockey, 1990 Topps Hockey, 1988 Score Baseball, 1990 Fleer Baseball, 1990 Donruss Baseball, and similar (there is a decent assortment of mostly baseball and hockey in the 1988-1990 range with there only being a few of each date and type). How much would you all feel comfortable paying knowing what profit you could definitively make on this type of product? Thanks again!

    How do you plan on moving the stuff if purchased? Just for reference Kruk Cards purchases the 90 Fleer and Donruss cases at $50 according to website.

    Sound like its going to be alot of work trying to move them and getting a good return on your investment.

    I agree with it being a lot of work. He originally would only entertain offers on the whole lot, which is fine, but I don't own a store. I think now we might be working on being able to buy lesser quantities of cases in the collection which will be better for my pocketbook and I can try to get the better ones. The plan to sell would be Ebay and shows primarily.
