Rare MJ card....because it's graded by PSA

Check out this rare card: rare because it's graded by PSA

1985 Star PSA 8 Michael Jordan

I wonder if it's a re-issue or an original? We may never know....

There are all sorts of items that they used to grade but that now fall into their "No Longer Grading" category, as is the case w/ Star basketball.

Too bad they stopped grading MJ rookies. The card looks great in a PSA holder. Judging by the label, the card was graded in 2002 or 2003.

IT CAN'T BE A TRUE PLAYOFF UNLESS THE BIG TEN CHAMPIONS ARE INCLUDED

Hmm 2002 or 2003? I had a 1984 Star Jordan back in 1998 that PSA would not grade. I had it graded by CSA (I think). So maybe, they didn't grade initially, tried grading for a while, then called it quits finally?

The flip looks newer than any I have seen. Even though they don't grade these anymore.. Could resend it to be reholdered? It would be great for basketball collectors if psa would start grading them. It's a joke that they don't. They are licensed cards. The counterfeits from the original printing presses or after market production by Star are false rumors. There were some oddball sets produced in the early 90s and sold on QVC as 80s product but that was never done for the base sets. The set is no more difficult to authenticate as 1933 goudey. I'm really hoping I can send all my bgs basketball rookies to psa to cross over.
