Early Anglo-Saxon period. AR Sceat. Circa 695-740. 1.01 gm. 10 mm. Continental issue, Frisia. Series D. Circa 700-750. Degraded bust right / Cross, pellets in angles. S. 792 variant. N. 168. BMC Type 2c (p. 4: 28). Choice Extremely Fine; lightly toned. Superb example.
