CAC dealers

Are their dealers that are specialists in CAC coins(buying and selling). I would assume that their are, but I do not know of any. I tried google and found only Blanchard, but they do not seem to specialize in CAC coins. TIA

    There are almost no dealers that deal exclusively in CAC coinage other than CAC.

    That said I dont think there are any CAC specialists as its not a specialty.

    The particular coin will determine which dealer might pay the most for it.

    Also, Coinplex is the official cac dealer website.

    they have 174 different members as part of their network of dealers (myself being 1)

    There are probably others too. A CAC and/or PCGS specialty allows you to lean on them for the quality of your coin offerings.



    I checked Pinnacle Rarities expecting a rather high %. But was surprised they were only 28% stickered on PCGS/NGC coins. What was really surprising was that their inventory of just over 500 coins was 97% PCGS, 2% NGC, and 1% raw. Legend lists an inventory of 134 coins on line, 100% stickered and no less than 99% PCGS (one coin didn't list what holder it was in).



    In a nutshell, the inventory of Legend and Pinnacle give an idea of where today's higher end market is at.

    My collection is like this, 98% PCGS and ANACS. Not that I haven't looked at other holders because I have.......some I have given up on. For some folks, it just takes a little longer to catch on.

    The last I heard Katie Duncan of Pinnacle doesn't submit to CAC. Maybe that has changed

    I looked at several dozen of their bust, barber and seated type coin offerings and it was 100% CAC for anything mint state or proof. In fact, it seems nearly all 19th and 20th century type coins in inventory valued over approx $100 seem to be stickered.

    In my personal collection:



    Have 3 coins that have not been to cac yet (too expensive to send, with out going thru another dealer who has the insurance to cover ) 1 should, 1 most likely not 1 50/50



    Have 1 coin that has been but did not sticker ( for the life of me cant figure out why) but anyhow still kept it, because I like it and its 3rd finest for the date.

    If you request it on your submission, he will contact you, or include a note why a coin did not pass.
