That's odd. I remember when 9's did not even sell that high.

VERY strange. Take a look at the prices below of all the "8s" that sold on eBay in the past two months. Yeah, the VCP on a "9" is almost Two Grand, but with white showing a three corners, can this get a bump?

What idiot would pay $1500 for that card?

IT CAN'T BE A TRUE PLAYOFF UNLESS THE BIG TEN CHAMPIONS ARE INCLUDED

Coming soon to a 9 holder near you...
"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."

    If that's a 9 I'll eat George's jockstrap....

Yes, that whole bottom edge will be going for a ride.

No way someone pays that amount. You'll see this card again very soon.

Since we can't see bidding behavior on these proprietary auctions, hard to discern if bidder is real or has retractions.

I'd be amazed if someone actually pays that for the card.
