The best card you ever pulled

After the 55 cello rip I got to wondering what the best cards we all personally pulled from packs. I don't open packs anymore, but in the 90's I did. I pulled an Arod auto from classic 4 sport back in 93 I think. My brother pulled an identical Arod auto from the same box. They were sequentially numbered. We thought that was just mega cool at the time. Also pulled an 86 Jerry rice about 20 years ago. How about you??
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

They probably are all fake anyway. haha
With that said it still remains one of my "dreams" to open a pack(any pack) of Football from the 50's or 60's or 1972 basketball. The funny thing about this is even if it were someone elses pack I would be stoked just to open it and go through it card by card.
As I think about it, I was fortunate enough to rip when you ripped for your stars or team and not value. I was very happy with my Fernando Valenzuela/Sax rookie. The Dodgers.
At a card show about a year ago, I was talking to an older dealer who said he pulled a few 52 topps mantles as a kid. Probably no big deal to some of the older guys here but I think that's pretty neat.
Baseball, it is said, is only a game. True. And the Grand Canyon is only a hole in Arizona.

1972 Topps Rod Carew high number from a popped seal pack. The pack was probably around 20 years old at the time. The card now sits in an 8(OC) PSA holder. There is something special about a card that one has unwrapped himself.
That's very cool. I pulled a crazy MC Yount mini rookie...still raw along with many other stars and commons...these were from 6 BBCE packs from one of our rips.
I opened opened one and found this beauty!
I scored a PSA 10 with it and ended up trading it because I wasn't crazy about the toning. Got a nicer eye appeal PSA 9 of the same card plus around $400 extra in trade value. Best pull of my life!
My best card ever pulled is easily the 1986 Panini Supersport Mike Tyson Italian. I purchased a box in 2011 from a seller in the tiny island of Cyprus and pulled two Mint Tyson's from the box. I purchased the box for $600 and graded a number of other stars in high grade from it too.
IT CAN'T BE A TRUE PLAYOFF UNLESS THE BIG TEN CHAMPIONS ARE INCLUDED

Hey Dutch - We've been wondering where you were the past 30 years and who would have guessed you joined a collector's board? It's the little discoveries that make this life such a joy. Anyway, I spoke to Daniel at a charity croquet tourney last spring and he has forgiven you for taking out his knee. I would avoid the Kobra Kai Dojo though if I were you. Reese hasn't been doing so hot.

you know that audrey girl i was dating? well we broke up. wasnt really into her, but her dad blew a gasket when he got the phone bill from europe when she called. in hindsight, maybe i shouldnt of put her on hold for that long. oh well.
but after the championship i went off to grand lakes university. made the diving team, messed up the final dive meet due to a cramp, but whatever. we had some pretty good halloween parties though, except senior year.
Best PC pull....1998 topps pulled a redemption for a 1963 topps Clemente (my Dads favorite vintage player). Graded a 6.

Pulled this when I was 14. Traded a Topps prospects card for the pack, and I still have it today.
Sorry Greg but your auto is hideous!
I have hit 3 MJ rookies(never a 9) at big shows over the last decade, the Andrew Luck NT RPA(at the time was about $1500 but got up to $4500). I hit a Carlos Correa Bowman Chrome Gold rookie auto and got it graded a BGS 9.5 and sold it for $800(big mistake lol). I gave wax up a few years ago. I miss it sometimes but not the hundreds of kicks in the nuts.
...and an 81 Montana from cello a few months back (graded 9).
Thanks,

1985 Topps Football (starting in psa 8) - #9 - started 05/21/06
Ummm, wow! I can't believe you got that many Bird/Magics in 12 packs!
As an unopened-ripping adult I have hit a 1970 Aaron AS from a rack, 1970 Munson RC from a cello, 1970 Mays from a cello,
1971 Blyleven RC, Jackson and Rose from a rack, 1972 Rose and Ryan from series 5/6 wax packs, 1975 Brett RC from a rack
pack and 1986 Fleer Jordan from a wax pack

Best ungradable card: '72 Staubach RC - from wax - was badly miscut
Best as a kid: '81 Montanas - opened many a pack of that year, '82 & '83 as well. Stopped opening after that.
Best card of my youth (86-93) was a 91 UD Basketball Jerry West Auto back in '91. At the time it was about a $350 card if I remember right. Not bad for a broke 15 year old.
