Habsburg Talers
TalerUniverse.com is a curated numismatic project dedicated to the silver talers, crowns, and medals of the Habsburg Empire and the Holy Roman Empire, spanning the 16th–18th centuries. The collection emphasizes historically significant issues, rare mint varieties, and high-grade NGC/PCGS examples, presented with detailed historical context, scholarly references, and high-resolution photography. TalerUniverse aims to serve both as a private collection showcase and a growing reference resource for collectors, researchers, and students of early-modern European coinage.

MA EYES DEM HURTIN
That is such a WOW example of an ancient, not my field at all, but even a donkey can tell this one rocks the hen house!
The struck depictions, strike and eye appeal is just nuts.
Love it Z!

I liked this type as soon as I was made aware of it, I used to have a stater from Tarsus of Datames with Ares (maybe) on one side and Larissa (or nymph) on the other side, and then I looked into the other coins from that region and they are really some nice works of art
the obverse is of course extremely similar to alexander the great silver coinage on the reverse, ba'al vs zeus (greek word that means standard bearer if I remember right), gods had those double names sometimes
the lovely blue highlights really make it a one of a kind piece
You certainly have a good eye for picking nice stuff.
Collector since 1976. On the CU forums here since 2001.
Thank you for explaining the meaning of the design.
I give away money. I collect money.
I don’t love money . I do love the Lord God.
