WTB 80-81 Basketball Cards to finish a set

I just picked up a nice lot of 80-81 basketball from a fellow board member, but I'm still about halfway from a set. I was wondering if anyone had any minty commons/semi-stars for sale cheap, I also have about 80 or so NMMT-Mint ones to trade. Please PM and I can send you my want list.

Brian

Need these two:
6 34 Larry Bird / 174 Julius Erving TL / 139 Magic Johnson

91 12 Gus Williams / Mark Olberding / James Bailey SD

Here's what I need. I know the numbering on this set is weird, so I included the players as well.

    Thank you again.

Wow Brian ... Looks like you got quite a few of the ones you needed. Good luck with the last three.
    STAY HEALTHY!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

Thanks Doug. Had to resort to ebay on the last group but would really like to keep my tradition of finishing sets with the help of fellow board members. It's more satisfying than ebay.

Ain't that the truth. Check out the Set Composition vs. the Pop Report! Yikes! Must have been someone's first day on the job and they have never fixed it. Cue the PSA apologists -- "Perhaps if someone could call and ask PSA to fix this, I'm sure they would be happy to...."

    1980 Set Composition

    1980 Pop Report HAHAHA....

This Pop Report is an embarrassment.

I love that the first cards are A.Adams and A.English because after all A is the first letter of the alphabet and it's the first letter of the player's first name. Makes perfect sense...to a first grader. But then Roh-Roh, the first grader loses their concentration and card four is deemed to be Abdul-Jabbar. Shouldn't that be under K.? Then, we abandon names and determine that 'Assist Leader' is somehow the name of the next few cards. Ugh....Fix this, please!!

While on the topic -- I previously asked PSA to list the James Silas variation. They refused, which is essentially the opposite of 'helpful'...

The first card was spelled JAMS in purple ink. The corrected card is spelled JAMES in black ink. It's the only name printed in black ink. But I'm just a complainer...

One of my favorites -- some days it's CRISS/REID/TAYLOR, other days it's TAYLOR, REID, CRISS. Here's my $6.50 plus postage. Thanks...

Thank you to all the great guys here for help finally finishing this pain in the a$$ set. Between the great deals I was given to the sheer generosity of a few freebies, you guys truly made it fun. I'm know it's not a monster set, but it is one I've always wanted to put together. As it finished up, I ended up with a pretty Mint raw set and a PSA 7 Bird/Magic/Erving with minimal PD.

I still have about 100 minty dupes left so please let me know if any of you guys need help with your sets.
