    The Globe Smelter locomotive, engine number 2. This 1917 photo, by Otto Perry, shows the cars used to rail in precious metals from Colorado’s famed mines for processing at what was the largest smelter in North America.

    Cool pics. Those would do some kind of damage to a foot. About 1500oz each I assume maybe?

    The bars look like 6x6x12 inches is close now how can I figure weight? They must be heavy no one holding one up for the camera!image

    I googled it. 1 cubic inch of silver weighs .38 pounds.

    So, 6" X 6" X 12" = 432 cubic inches.

    432 X .38 = 164.16 lbs.

    That's hefty.

    Edited to add: 1 cubic foot of concrete weighs 150 lbs. 1 cubic foot of silver would weigh 656.64 lbs.
