Those cards are awesome! Any chance these might have been from the original rotisserie/fantasy baseball league?

this may have been a clever way for kids to disguise the cards they didn't want to lose to their sticky-fingered collecting buddies. image

Well-loved and collected cards, like these, are, to me, what this hobby is all about. Thanks for sharing.

Bid is at $5+ a card.
If I type "Mickey Mantle" on my Jack Reed card, maybe I can get $5 for it too
I collect Seattle Pilots autographs, 1969 Topps autographs, Signed Mickey Mantle Home Run History cards and have a JC Martin collection (he was my college Baseball coach)

Cards like these may mean a lot to someone who played with them back in the day. The cards have both an aesthetic and sentimental value that many may not get or understand.

Also....the high bidder might be Jack Reed?

I think those are fantastic. If I was doing the '61 set it wouldn't bother me even a little bit to have those included.

don't be shy Geordie. the set contains almost 600 cards. imagine the envious position you'd be in if you could complete a 1961 Topps Baseball Typewriter Mistaken Identity Set.

talk about rarity of rarity. Jordan can suck it. THIS would be the million dollar grail. image

Jack Reed was too lazy to put his name on the back of the card. He probably became a dirty hippy a few years later.

Really??? Six cards and you don't ship to Alaska or Hawaii??
Previous transactions: Wondercoin, goldman86, dmarks, Type2

take it easy, peasy. these cards are "rare" and should not risk being lost to a bunch of rocks in the ocean.

and Alaska is almost Russia. think about it.
  • Ronald Woods is a little too OC for my tastes. And that Doug Camilli is a fake. I see it at flea markets all the time.
