image hosting websites?

There seems to be a number of image hosting sites that are available.
Photo Bucket, Tinypik, Flicker to name a few.
Any preferences or other suggestions as to what sites are easy to use would be appreciated.

if you intend to post pics to this forum, photobucket works very well (for me). Only a moderate degree of intelligence is needed to ensure you have no problems. Luckily, I possess a moderate degree of intelligence. Don't know much about other web sites for hosting photos

Photobucket is always down. Search the name for threads on it.

Tinypic as mentioned is good.

That's an interesting opinion -- I have used photobucket for years, and never had any substantial or long-lasting problems of it being down.

That being said, the "updates" to the user interface they have made in the past year are horrible...but still navigable.

You'll find the most threads about photobucket. Seems to be the most used here.

I've used Photo bucket here and on eBay and found it to be as reliable as this site or eBay have been in last several years.
Simple copy and paste the URL on Photobucket.

Gave tiny pic a try.
Got a photo uploaded to their site w/o to much trouble.
Can't get it to upload to the test forum.
Any tips.

Just an FYI for anyone not familiar with Imgur. They host a lot of NSFW content, mostly for reddit. If you try to browse that site at work, you may get put on a list.

Yes, and URL links to images on that site are blocked by many work-places, so your images may not show up for some folks if you use imgur also.

Maby? a bit of progress.
Now I get blue sq. w/ ? mark in it.
I suspect the photo size may be to large. (2048x1536)
Do I try to resize?

Tinypic says they auto resize pics that are too large.

I would still resize those anyway. While it is easy to view large images with zoom out browser shortcuts, not everyone know or wants to do that

Try 600 high max and see how that works.
