Divergent FASC query

Let me preface this by saying that I love boxes from a sealed case. I know, I know. Who the hell doesn't? There's just something about factory-big box-Steve Hart-my hands that I find extremely appealing as a collector. The consensus on the premium on unopened thread was in the neighborhood of 15%, but I honestly would never hesitate to raise that bar if a) it was financially feasible, and b) it was a box I truly coveted.

So with that said and with all of the recent virginal box talk, I tried to recall all pre-'80 BBCE boxes FASC (baseball) that I've seen/heard of/owned during my two-year tenure as a nutty unopened guy:

75T mini wax
77T wax
78T rack
79T vending

Anyone care to chime in with others I might have missed or those that predate my time?

By the way, I'm loving the newish acronym (obviously). So whoever helped me become lazier than I already am, thank you! image

This is what is wrong with today's youth, too many acronyms. Not like I would know any. image

But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep."

    Collecting:
Any unopened Baseball cello and rack packs and boxes from the 1970's and early 1980s.

We split a case of 1978 OPC Baseball a few years back.

Edit: Found my invoice (10/2011) $218.25 per box. Looks like they are asking $1100 per box now image
  • I still think 15% is low on special boxes. For example, I will pay $5,000 right now for a BBCE FASC 1980/81 Topps Basketball box as long as the outer box is at least an 8/9 on a scale of 1-10...
  • Steve told me that he hasn't seen a full case of 80-81 basketball in many many years.
