Marian Gaborik to L.A. Kings. I'm psyched!!!

Yes, no one cares about hockey on here much less the trade deadlines.
I'm a big fan of his and so freaking stoked we just got Gaborik for 2 crappy round trades. An absolute steal.
Hopefully he'll stay with the Kings after the season. He is a badass when he's healthy. I've got Luxury Box Seats with free parking
this coming Saturday. image

I believe you when you say he's a badass but the problem I'm having is the fact that he shares the same name with my mom. Spelling and all.

Gaborik is great when healthy, but that is unfortunately not very often these days. The Rangers definitely were smart to trade him for the depth they got in return. The St. Louis deal on the other hand. image

Nice player when healthy and motivated. All in all a very good trade for the Kings in that it really filled a scoring need.

I'm from the St. Paul area, and I wish we could have surrounded him with a little more offensive talent when he was with the Wild. (or any other offensive talent) And this is not sour grapes, but I really think his best years are behind him. Durability, like other hockey fans note, has become a real issue. He certainly didn't strike me as an old schooler that would gut out injuries very well. Having said that, if he suddenly becomes the MVP of the league, then good for the Kings! That's awesome that you have those excellent seats, I hope he rewards your enthusiasm!

If Gaborik is placed on the Richards line, I think you'll be seeing late-Rangers era Jagr struggles. Kopitar's line, maybe something that will be worthwhile. Have fun watching him avoid the corners at all costs, however. I think Moulson would have been a much better fit for Sutter's system, however. This might be more cringe-worthy than the verbal thrashings/doghouse dwellings that Torts heaved upon Gabby.
