1979 Topps baseball rack rip tonight

Just picked up a few clean racks and decided tonight a good night do some ripping while enjoying a nice merlot from British Columbia. Wife and kid are gone for the next few hours... so what the heck. Any predictions on sequencing? I have no idea what to expect here.

Here we go!

far cell is open. about to look at the card behind the Kessinger. Hoping for strong (ok I'll settle for decent) centering.

Good luck! I love 79's. The set is very challenging to put together in a well-centered version.

Well... first cell was kind of a bust. No star power and centering was all over the place. Here's the sequence and photo of the best of the bunch.
    467, 284, 708, 336, 691, 538, 111, 371, 551, 105, 676, 49, 415

Middle cell was much better. A little star power with Stargell (in his typical OC fashion) and Eddie Murray making an appearance. Overall the centering was much strong in this one. Here's the sequence for those keeping score at home.

    129, 678, 166, 55, 640, 37, 375, 45, 182, 393, 486, 632, 511

Roberts, Murray and Martinez look very nice! Too bad your sequence from Cooper didn't lead to Ozzie. That particular sequence runs truer in cellos and wax than racks. Some sharp cards overall.

Nothing worth grading, IMO. Two Aaron leader cards.

    Sequence: 667, 158, 397, 479, 191, 368, 173, 412, 328, 580, 684, 498, 413

Major star power in the middle cell. Brett, Molitor, and Murray. Also got a very nice Mumphrey PSA 10 population = 0.

Sequence for the cell and photos below.

    357, 406, 468, 142, 330, 323, 366, 620, 129, 690, 32, 24, 640

    Final cell was a bust. Sequence: 646, 440, 42, 280, 481, 131, 535, 278, 285, 255, 229, 145, 462

That's a wrap for tonight. Think I pulled 5 from the two racks that I'll end up submitting. The 2 Eddie Murrays, George Brett, Leon Roberts, and Jerry Mumphrey.

Nice star power indeed! Too bad Brett is centered a bit higher. Molitor is a beast to find centered. Murray looks good. Thanks for sharing!
