Did anyone experience Paypal not permitting payments to go through? Apparently government anti-laundering restrictions. This applies to any payment over $1,000.
I heard something about this a few weeks ago. It was tied to a story that there is a large increase of Americans sending their wealth overseas and renouncing their US citizenship because of taxes and where the country is heading. I'm vague on this and thought it was unreal when I heard it.
I had problems sending payment to a UK vendor (from US). I kept receiving an error that "your payment cannot be processed." I called Paypal's customer support and they were no help (going as far as to say that if it didn't work then send alternate method of payment. They were clueless as to why my payment was being blocked). I tried instead an old tried and true method... keep trying until it works, and lo and behold, on the 6th or 7th try it did work.
