How come Krause only list these starting in 1943? Is this a typical Krause mistake?

My edition of Krause lists them starting as KM# 1131 with the year SH1310 (1931) under the "Reform" coinage. And my edition is a few years old.

I like mine better for my collection because it's the first year of issue, even though the mintage is a little higher. I plan on upgrading someday and expect the opportunity will arise. There's a gem out there somewhere I can feel it.

Wonderful pieces, I like bidask's equally with Nick's that comes with an unmistakable "gmarguli" pedigree.

I had one too, as well as a couple of gold pahlevi. I think that most of the Shah's coins had it. It's tough to resist that lion.

One of these days I will re-photograph my collection

I plan to do so once it's complete so the lighting and angles will match on all. Who knows, maybe by that time, the cameras will shoot themselves!
