New PSA holder - a public announcement regarding the importance of returning crackout flips

Gentlemen,
A thought just occurred to me as I read about the new PSA holder coming out in a couple of months...I was thinking of the 1000s of cards I would be "cracking out" and resubmitting for a potential grade bump along-with a new holder; and I wonder if there is some way we can get the word out to fellow collectors to please return the flip to PSA so that the population report does not become inflated over the next few years. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

I understand that, the problem is that they have a choice of either sending the flip in later to insure population accuracy or throw the flip out after they crack the slab. It is best for the collecting world if people send in the flip. I will probably hold them and then send them in a batch later on

Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.

I have not sent any in for a while but they use to pay 50 cents per flip. Do they not do that anymore? I would send in a bunch at a time and I would receive a check in the mail.

I heard that also but am fairly certain they do not do that anymore. If they did, I'd bet most people WOULD send their flips in.

Agreed in general Tim, but I suspect there will be a very large number of 8s, my rule is to review 9s and crack 8s.

Too bad. I must have around 300 of them right now. Most from cards I cracked out to get signed.

If you're talking 75 minis, I would agree. For more vintage issues, crackout grades are often even lower than that.

Unless they reholster without a resubbing. Can that be done?
It's not intelligent business savvy to crack out a card for a simple reholder with no hope of a grade bump, nor is it smart to send the flip in with crackouts on which you want a bump...if you're going to do that, you might as well pay for a review.
