Has anyone ever bought those 1986 120 ct rack packs from krukcards??

Have any of you ever bought any of them? I have bought some and found them to be decent. I was expecting them to be searched with no stars on top or bottom but was pleasantly surprised. The only bad thing is that they kind of look like seconds. Miswraps, dividers loose so sections touch, etc. The cards appear to be fine. Has any one bought these and subbed cards to psa? Just curious as I am 2/3 the way through one and have a few to sub. I'm talking baseball here as football would be nice but must of us would be broke if that were the case. Hoping to hear some good responses.
Thanks

  • There are a few threads here asking about Kruk cards. While they have a nice inventory, most of what I have seen smells like it came from a leaky cellar that has no climate control. In addition, I would almost be certain they prune some of their stuff.

Thanks for the reply. I have seen the threads about them. I found these to have no different odor than any other older product. I personally picked some of these 86 boxes up today and found their place to look normal with no funny smells to it.

I just recently purchased a 1988 3 box rack case. The auction said see picture for details. Here's the picture:

    Here's what I received:

They offered to refund my money but I didn't feel like dealing with the hassle over a $20 case. As long as the boxes were ok, I figured I'd just open it up and look for a Glavine on top rack. The boxes were rummaged through and there was even an empty wrapper from a different year inside the top 1/2 filled box. Here's what I saw when I flipped open to lid of the top box:

Kruk did give me a full refund, I just wish they had done their homework. Someone boxed that up and sent it out and then it became my problem. I just thought I'd pass on my very recent experience.

It did suck but I would like to reiterate that they did give me a full refund including my return shipping. I just wouldn't expect the best quality control out of them.

I had a similar experience with a rack case. I bought a 1989 Donruss rack case that looked great in the picture but when I got it, it looked like it got hit by a truck. The box was shreaded on one side. I didnt bother to return it though because it was pretty cheap.

This is why they keep selling crap like that. It is too much of a hassle to return a $20-30 case of cards.

How is it possible to have twice the amount of cards in sheets as you do in boxes?

Anyway, do you think BBCE will consider opening a branch in Rochester, Michigan? lol

Interesting that it is all non sport.

I've bought a fair amount from them over time and for lack of a better way to put it, all of their unopened I have personally seen is "scratch and dent". It's all banged up, mold smelling, smoke smelling, full of soot inside the box and pack and so on. That is why it is often cheaper than others. I've never had an issue with anything from them being less than legit, just its all b-stock or worse.

  • Wow, even for a 1988 rack box it gets pillaged and sold as something else. That is the nail in the coffin for me. These guys cant be trusted with their merchandise.

I bought a 1982 Donruss set from them and it had the same smell people are talking about and the cards showed plenty of discoloration, condition was awful. As others have stated, they issued a full refund and took care of me as a customer. I avoid them now vs. taking a chance and dealing with hassles of returns.

    Appreciate today-
