Is there are price difference in white and grey backs in 1956 Topps ?

Cards 1-180 can have white or grey backs. It seemed to me when building my set that for cards 1-100 the greys were slightly fewer and had a slight premium. For 101 to 180 whites seemed fewer and carried a little bigger premium. But I built my set many years ago and there may be more up to date info currently

Both cards 146 and 164 with white backs (Senators Team and Harmon Killebrew) are MUCH harder to find in high grade and would be very expensive in PSA 7 or 8.

Yes, white backs from 101-180 command a very significant premium as opposed to the grey backs, and they are very scarce. I think building an all white back set in any kind of decent condition would be damn near impossible.

Aside from that, I haven't noticed a difference (and I am actively collecting this set).

I sold a #160 Billy Pierce white back in a PSA 6 for $99.99, which is more than 10 times what a grey back version sells for w/ the same grade. So yes, prices vary based on color of back.

Yes. VCP is good source for this.
Spread on the white and grey Jackie Robinson is about 150 last time I looked - as an example.
Heard some views in last that the grey backs have brighter coloring on front - white backs tend to wash it out a bit.
Not an absolute - I'm sure you can find examples in reverse.
