Help with signed hockey cards

Hey, I don't collect much hockey and am unfamiliar with this set - I didn't see any cards from this set on eBay. Is it a cheap set with little to no value? Are there any rare players included? I have only the few signed cards and they came in a large signed baseball lot. Thanks for the help!

The set is 25 cards. 89-90 Blues Kodak set. Apparently, the set was handed out to the first 15,000 ticket holders on February 27th, 1990 in a game against Buffalo. Brind'amour and Joseph are pre-rookie cards and Hull and Oates are HOFers. I have no idea on the value.
  • That is cool. Probably a St. Louis area exclusive sponsored by Kodak. If that is 1989-90 than I predates Curtis Joseph and Rod Brind'Amour's 1990-91 rookies and they are signed. Those 2 will be probably be Hockey Hall of Famers. Brett Hull and Adam Oates are hall of famers. Peter Zezel is deceased. You got something nice there. Curtis Joseph and Rod Brinda'Amour shortened up there signature. This is likely pretty rare and a regional issue. You got 4 Hall of Famers or Future HOFers. Nice .
  • There are not too many signed . All those cards signed are worth at least $50 .
  • Yeah Brind'Amour is only getting into the HOF if he buys a ticket.
  • Rod Brind'Amour is definitely a Hall of Famer 452 Goals and 732 Assists 1,184 Points a Stanley Cup with Carolina.
  • Kelly Chase was a goon from what I recall. I saw him play many games for the Peoria Riverman (Blues IHL affiliate at the time) in the early 90s.

rod brind'amour was a very nice player, but i am not sure he will become a hofer.

those cards are visually very nice, imo. they are probably pretty unique as well--i know i have never seen or heard of them.

  • IMHO the most valuable is Zezel. I have numerous hockey on eBay from the Meeker find and have been learning the signed hockey market a bit. Zezel, then Hull, then Oates, Joseph, Brind'Amour, then Sutter. I dont know if there are any sleepers on the other who may be tough or low % signers. I price Zezel and Hull at $25 each retail. The other 3 $12-17 each. The rest its a craps shoot. Maybe $2-5 each retail.

  • I'd give you $10 for the Curtis Joseph right now.

This is pretty accurate pricing advice from Jason. These cards are not that difficult to find unsigned, and go for between $2 & $5 in that format depending on the player. For some reason it is common to find these signed instead of unsigned with much more frequency than your average card; I wonder if there was a team autograph event associated with the giveaway of these team-issue cards that would explain that occurrence? Signed you can get many of them for $8 to $12 each if you look when purchasing as singles, though team lots do become available that divide out for less price per card too.
  • If you're interested in selling them all, let me know.

I have bought MANY autographed items ($500.00+) from the OP. A great seller and very trustworthy.
