FYI: Trimming response from a pro

My email was to the SGC Senior Grader and I'll paraphrase:
"A quick question about trimming to help give me peace of mind:
Can professional graders quickly & easily identify any trimming evidence before a card is slabbed?
(one of my 1939 Play Ball cards) falls about 1/16 or maybe 1/32 of an inch short (both height & width)....it looks "small" in the holder
It probably doesn't help that I stacked it up against my '39 Williams which is cut "large".
The only reason for my question, the "large" Williams could be laser-cut to the same Dimaggio size."
He was kind enough to reply:
"We are highly confident about our ability to detect trimming, but I wouldn’t want to apply a numerical percentage to our level of confidence. Play Ball cards do vary a bit in size (narrowness is particularly common), so I wouldn’t necessarily worry about examples that measure a little small. Card measurements are part of the equation in detecting trimming, but far more important is looking for the correct type of cut that each card issue will normally exhibit."
Trimming is a problem in the hobby. (I have confidence in PSA, SGC, BVG authentication standards)
Can we start an information thread with additional info/scans for other hobbyists to refer to?
Sorry if this was covered in the "My 1st post....sheet cut" thread. I read through some of it and appears to be a different topic.
BTW, I'm now confident my '39 Play Ball is unaltered.
